If you're a hiker or a biker, you can use the first nine miles of the Greenbelt trail, or explore the newest addition to the Trinity Trails System: the 8-mile Rail Trail. This trail has been converted from a railroad right-of-way to a pedestrian "urban trail," passing through a portion of southeast Denton, across seven updated railway bridges. Denton County's three lakes offer excellent fishing and canoeing, and pleasure boats are available for rent at the Lake Ray Roberts marina.
