Frisco Texas is considered part of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, as a suburb of Dallas, and provides a close and convenient location to not only a fantastic international airport, but also world class amenities. The drive to downtown Dallas is only around 30 minutes. This short commute allows you the flexibility to work in Dallas, while still retaining a small-town feel.
Part of the small-town charm is the city’s determination to balance the economic needs of the city (retail and commercial space) with the small residential and hometown feel. One way Frisco has been able to do this is to both add new green space areas and maintain the existing ones. There is close to 1,400 acres of parks and public outdoor areas.
Additionally, the city has done such a stellar job in balancing the public needs of the city that in 2014 they were named “Best Place in Texas for Young Families” by a consumer advocacy group. The ranking was based upon public school standings, median home value, cost of home ownership, median income, and most importantly long term growth. What this signifies is a well-developed city plan with the local citizens’ concerns foremost considered when making decisions that affect the city.
