Tioga, known as the birthplace of Gene Autry, is about 8 miles north of Pilot Point where FM922 ties into Hwy 377. It is on the shores of Lake Ray Roberts and offers a boat lauch just south of town. Tioga is still a small rural community and consists mostly of horse ranches, farms and country properties. West of the city, the landscape is more rolling, with a sandier loam soil and oak trees. Tioga is a popular destination for people from the larger cities like Dallas, who come out (whether its by car, harley or helicopter) to enjoy one of the popular restaurants such as Clark’s Outpost Barbeque or Medina’s Mexican Restaurant. With a population today of around 1,000 residents, it is served by the popular Tioga Independent School District. Tioga is a wonderful destination for commuters who still want to live in a country setting.
Tioga area offers properties offering a variety of acreage sizes and property types whether you’re looking for a wooded, lakeside, equestrian or recreational property.
