The River District will bring eclectic restaurants together in a beautiful environment along the river. One of the most unique aspects of this development is that it is a natural peninsula formed by a river, so it is designed to be a close community for the people of Fort Worth.

In addition to the River District, Crystal Springs on the River will include an amphitheater for live music, a shopping district, restaurants and access to the river.

“Fort Worth doesn’t need just another build project,” Chris Powers, CEO of Fort Capital and one of the River District developers told the Dallas Observer. Fort Worth needs more neighborhoods surrounding the river, more social spots, more unique restaurants and businesses and more walkable areas in our city, he said.

An Exciting Destination

Fort Worth continues to gain momentum in becoming an all-encompassing destination and these new developments are proof that this vision is progressing quickly. Developers see Fort Worth as a community worth investing in due to the need and demand for new multifamily housing, new restaurants, entertainment and more office space as companies open new offices to establish a presence in Fort Worth.

As the population continues to increase in Fort Worth, due to the increased transportation systems in place for those that live in Fort Worth but commute to Dallas, the demand for new development will continue to increase. Fort Worth will soon no longer be a subsidiary to Dallas, but its own economic and business hub that will complement the region in its entirety.

Developers are keeping their eye on Fort Worth as construction continues and more people seek Fort Worth out as their new home. The market in Fort Worth is projected to remain stable and strong as high-profile buildings trade in the Fort Worth urban core and pricing moves up with limited new supply, net absorption, rent growth and occupancy metrics.
